The Ministry for Environment and Nutrition of the German Federal State of Northrine-Westphalia organized several events for sustainable nutrition in the city of Cologne, Germany. The design of this event was made by Elmar Sander Kommunikationsdesign. It combines an apple core with the the appearance of Colognes most famous landmark, its outstanding and well-known cathedral.
The apple has always symbolized health, but also pleasure and passion – just think of the Garden of Eden. In Cologne, the Apple also stands for regionalism, because its the most cultivated fruit in the Rhineland. Its sustainability, however, lies in the core. In the core lies the initial for future viability and by hosting the event for sustainable food, Cologne is also an initial for future viability.
